Bordeaux Legends
Welcome to our Dogue de Bordeaux family!
I'm Rachel Cox. Come meet the dogs who share our home, look through the family album, and ask anything you would like to know.

Welcome to Bordeaux Legends.
We are in Cross Plains, Tennessee, where our Dogues are very much part of the family. I'm glad you're here to look around and get to know them.
We put a great deal of thought into each pairing and into how our puppies begin life with us. Temperament, health, nutrition, and those first weeks in the house all matter.
Our puppies share the house with my husband and I and our three children. From the beginning, they are around people, ordinary household sounds, and the rhythm of family life. It is a sweet, busy time, and we love watching their little personalities start to show.
Every litter has its own timing and details. Please ask me about a current litter, the care schedule, vaccinations, or anything else you are wondering about.
About us.
Our Dogues and puppies share our home with our three children and our much-loved cat. I enjoy showing families where puppies begin, what daily life here looks like, and the dogs behind each litter.
I am proud of the time and care that go into our dogs. I want families to see where our puppies begin, learn about the Dogue de Bordeaux honestly, and feel comfortable asking whatever is on their mind. If you are curious about a dog or a future puppy, get in touch.

About the Dogue de Bordeaux.
If you're new to the Dogue de Bordeaux, you are in for quite a dog. Also called the French Mastiff, this is a powerful, affectionate breed with a broad head, a wrinkled face, and paws you will not forget.
Read more about the breedA breed with a long history
The Dogue is one of France's mastiff breeds, with a history that reaches back well before it became the family companion many people know today. That history is part of why the breed has such a substantial, unmistakable presence.
That unmistakable look
A broad, wrinkled head, heavy build, and very large paws make a Dogue hard to miss. Their expression can look quite serious until you get to know one. I love the contrast between that impressive appearance and the affectionate dogs we know at home.
Room to be part of the family
A Dogue is not a breed to choose on looks alone. They need to live closely with their people, and their size means thinking ahead about space, training, manners, and keeping them comfortable in hot weather. If you are new to the breed, please ask questions before you decide.

Living with a Dogue de Bordeaux.
They look powerful because they are! The Dogue de Bordeaux also want to be right there with their people.
I've known them as quiet, steady companions who enjoy family life. Some of ours have loved to swim, too. They can be wonderfully silly and sweet, which is why I call them giant teddy bears—right up until one leans all of that weight against you!
Every dog is an individual, and a Dogue's strength deserves patient guidance, socialization, and clear everyday expectations. The best way to learn what these dogs are like is to meet them, hear their stories, and talk with me about what living with one really involves.
Confirmed Pregnancy
We have confirmation of pregnancy through ultrasound between our girl Cleo and our boy Northdale's Atticus! Going to be an incredible litter, due around Halloween time.
